How do you get paid?

Drivers are paid bi-weekly and tips are taken home daily. We offer direct deposit or live check.

Do you have part-time?

Yes, part-time schedules are 1, 2 or 3 days. We also offer 5 ½ hour shifts.

What schedules do you have available?

Schedules are based on seniority. We will go over what shifts are available when your application is accepted and you attend your training class.

How many hours do I have to work a day?

Shifts are 10-11 hours per day, however, we do have 5 ½ hour shifts available as well.

When do we qualify for insurance?

Full-time employees are eligible the 1st day of the month after two months of employment, as long as you work an average of 30 hours per week over those two months.

What documents do I need to become a taxi driver?
  • Metroscope background check (From the Las Vegas Metro Police Department) not older than 30 days from the date of hire.
  • Unexpired DOT Physical performed in the state of Nevada
  • 3-Year DMV Printout (Available at the DMV, DMV Kiosks and online) no older than 30 days old from the date of hire
    • Must have a valid Nevada, California, Arizona or Utah Driver’s License
Where can I get a DOT physical?

Most physicians can perform the medical certification needed for a permit. Please check with your physician to see if they can perform one or refer you to a doctor that can.

There are several walk-in clinics in Las Vegas that perform them.

How long does the hiring process take?

About 1-2 weeks

How much does it cost to become a taxi driver?

The estimated cost of becoming a taxi driver is $200.00

 Prior to filling out an application:

         DMV printout     $8.00

         DOT Physical     varies

         Metroscope       $10.00

Once the application is accepted:

           Pre-employment drug test   $31.00

           Taxi Cab Authority Fees:

                     Application: $40.00

                       Fingerprint $51.25
